During windows 8 reset all my Apps were removed, how do I restore them?

Install them again.

What you did was this wipe it and start from the beginning.

Remove everything and reinstall Windows

If you want to recycle your PC, give it away, or just start over, you can reset it completely.

Note

  • You might be prompted to insert discs or recovery media that came with your PC. Check the info that came with your PC to see if your PC manufacturer provided these discs or media. In some cases, you might have created them when you first set up your PC.

Warning

  • All of your personal files will be deleted and your settings will be reset. Any apps the came with your PC will be reinstalled, but all other apps will be removed.

To reset your PC

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings.

(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.) 2. Under PC settings, tap or click General. 3. Under Remove everything and reinstall Windows, tap or click Get started. 4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Note - You'll be prompted to choose whether you want to erase data quickly or thoroughly. If you choose to erase data quickly, some data might be recoverable using special software. If you choose to erase data thoroughly, this will take longer but it makes recovering data far less likely.

    Your ability to do so is dependent on you (as with most things you can / cannot do.)

    Read (and comprehend) everything already posted in this 10 page conversation . . .

    Feel free to "restore" any applications that have somehow been removed from your system via the same method by which they were originally installed.  No one on this peer-to-peer volunteer-based public forum will likely do it for you, at least not 'for free'.

    If you need assistance installing something specific, please ask.

    As microsoft had created a lovely list of the programs and Apps it had removed on the reset; I wondered if they had an equally lovely program to reinstall them with out me having to go through the labourious task of finding Discs and reinstalling the one by one having better things to do; ah! the trials and tribulations of windows 10.

    You were advised prior to the reset that apps would be removed.  This should have prompted you to either reconsider doing the reset or amass the installation media necessary to reinstall the apps.  I guess that for some folks, what Arthur C. Clarke said is true:  "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

    ... as with many operating system upgrades over the years, not all software and hardware comes quietly along for the ride.  Unlike those from the past, a check is done and those that may cause trouble are pre-removed and (in many cases) put on a list for the end-user to figure out hat they can/cannot do about it.

    Windows 95 thru 8.1 saw quite a few orphaned items over the years.

    MacOS 9.x --> OS X versions --> MacOS has also seen its fair share of orphaned items thru time.

    *nix is a mixed bag anyway, dependent on various factors as it is - so, no surprise, same deal as the rest.

    Android and iOS, being based on the above but made fore mobile, same thing - shorter time frames.

    The trials and tribulations of technology that changes at a far more rapid pace than many people are accustomed to.
