Had similar problem. Colleague gave me a solution  that worked. Though I would be careful about using it. It if you  look at the box that has the error, there is another file that is requesting it. Find this file, he removed that file, problem did not come up again and computer works fine. If you actually search for MSVCR100.dll and if you search for this file you will actually find it is still there- this is what I found- hence asking a colleague who used to work at Microsoft. That was what he did and it worked!

pls help windows 7 with Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)

I tried both methods such as running the SFC scanner thingy twice and both times didn't work and then afterwards I tried method one and whenever I try to run the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (64bit one) to see if it works it says that my computer doesn't have the correct requirements t install this software.

If you could get back to me as soon as possible that would be much appreciated. :)

I spent 3 days reading and trying different ways to fix the MSVCP100.dll error after doing the latest windows 10 update and nothing worked until this. 2 steps and 30 seconds is all it took. WOW! I wish I had seen this one first instead of wasting 3 days....
