MSVCP100.dll Missing.

Ok so I have Windows 8.1 And I get notice I am missing the same files, what do I do?

I tried both methods such as running the SFC scanner thingy twice and both times didn't work and then afterwards I tried method one and whenever I try to run the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (64bit one) to see if it works it says that my computer doesn't have the correct requirements t install this software.

If you could get back to me as soon as possible that would be much appreciated. :)

The simplest way to resolve the issue is to first go to your C drive ("My Computer") and type the name of the missing file. Usually it is there but corrupted. Delete said file and then uninstall the version of Microsoft Visual that you have installed. If multiple, uninstall all. Restart your machine  and run Windows update. Install whatever comes. If Microsoft visual doesn't show, search separately and install it

Conversely, after deleting the file and uninstalling and restarting machine, try to run the programme that initially gave the error. Sometimes they have Microsoft Visual C installer prompt and they can give you a clean install. Also ensure you get the latest version and know whether you're running 32/64b OS so you don't install the incorrect version. That could possibly have caused the prob.

also, instead of bitching, do some research and familiarise yourself with your machine. If you can't troubleshoot a simple "file missing" error with the preposterous amount of info readily available on the net, you should just give it away to someone more capable

To start, this is just bizarre.  I've been running Win 10 Home on my laptop for several months - no issues.  Got through the November Win 10 update with minimal pain.

Then had 3 updates install on 11/21/15.  KB310360, KB 310368, and KB3118754.  Upon restarting I got the "MSCVP100.DLL" missing error for at least 3 programs.  Researched on the web and didn't find a clean answer.  I did uninstall each update, one at a time, but the problem stayed.

Ran SFC /scannow.  It didn't find a problem.

I could identify three programs that were affected.

Cyberlink PowerDVD 15

Nuance PaperPort 14 Pro

and an iTunes Daemon

Went to the Control Program and found the C++ Redistributables.  The 2012 version (32 and 64 bit versions) had an option to repair (after clicking on it and choosing Change).  I let it repair.  That fixed the problem with PowerDVD15.  It worked fine.  I forgot to note if it was the 32 or 64bit that fixed it.

I looked at iTunes and found that there was an update available (they seem to come out every month or two).  Installed that and all the rest of the problems went away.  Even the PaperPort program is fine.

Beats me what went on.  I suppose it is the third party vendors problem, but I suspicious that it is not since everything was fine until the automatic Microsoft updates were applied.
