My company ha installed on my PC System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection; however it was there even when i was able to connect.  i tird also the ipad and i get the same error.

the solution offered to my previous request on the same issue by Rob Thomas596 strictly refers to Apple products and i can't use it for the Galaxy

Run command prompt as administrator and run the following command:

net localgroup Administrators local service /add

That is what fixed my problem after searching everywhere

OK, first go into SEARCH PROGRAMS AND FILES and type SERVICES. It shows at the top of the list. Click it and look at the Services menu dialogue. Scroll-down to WINDOWS DRIVER FOUNDATION - USER-MODE DRIVER FRAMEWORK. It should show 'Running' for Status, and 'Automatic' for Start-up type. If either is incorrect change them by right-clicking on the item and going into PROPERTIES. You can set the required values in here. Close the Services dialogue.

Next run REGEDIT.EXE by typing Regedit in the search box as above (be careful in here....) In Regedit click on Edit in the tool-bar and then FIND. Type WUDFSVC into the box and click 'Find Next'. 'Find' will take a minute or so to find the right key. You may need to press F3 twice (to search further down the registry) until you get to a key showing multiple lines, one of which is 'Start' (REG_DWORD 0x00000002 (2). If this shows anything other than 2 you need to change it by right-clicking on Start, and select MODIFY. Enter 2 in the 'Value data' box, and click 'OK'. While you are here the key 'ServiceSidType should show (1).

Close Regedit and re-boot the PC.

I followed step by step as you mentioned and found that 'Start' has shown (2) and 'ServiceSidType' has shown (1) at first stage. But my cell phone problem does still exist too.

OK, if the service is running but the device does'nt connect then maybe it's a problem with the device driver. Does the Galaxy show-up in the hardware list (when it's plugged-in). Look under CONTROL PANEL > HARDWARE & SOUND > Device Manager. Look in the hardware list and see if there is a problem showing. Sometimes uninstalling a driver then re-connecting the device (so that the driver auto installs again) will fix a problem. You can do an uninstall from the Control Panel. Is it something really simple like a bad connecting lead? Otherwise I think this is as far as I can suggest you look. Maybe there's someone out there who has the same device who can help. Regards...Tony

Yes, the mobile device shows in Devices Panel as shown in the pic below.

I have previously either updated driver software or uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, but nothing has changed.
