the MTP USB Device driver doesn't install. I cannot connect external devices such as the Samsung Galaxy. I tried multiple uninstall and re-install, no solution

i tried many of the ways suggested in many forums, nothing worked. actually when i forst connected te Galaxy it worked for a few days, then it stopped. My company ha installed on my PC System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection; however it was there even when i was able to connect.  i tird also the ipad and i get the same error.

the solution offered to my previous request on the same issue by Rob Thomas596 strictly refers to Apple products and i can't use it for the Galaxy

Run command prompt as administrator and run the following command:

net localgroup Administrators local service /add

That is what fixed my problem after searching everywhere

    In old Samsung  devices S2, S3 I use to  dial secret code which is *#7284# something like this. You will see a menu when you will toggle around the menus by clicking you will see that computer will start searching new drivers. When you select an option then wait for 10 seconds to appear the driver searching window while inter is connected. Keep on clicking different options and gradually you will notice all the required drivers are installed.

    Do revert back to original options when all Drivers are instaled.  You will see your Samsung is now connected.

    I had the same trouble - three hours of installing, reinstalling, kies installing & all the ****

    then I changed the phone to another USB plug and everything is fine - Kies can connect to the phone etc etc.

    Maybe the USB port was overcrowded with devices as I read somewhere that they stay but are not visible - there was also a method how you could make them reappear -

    but you should at least try to switch ther USB port
