the MTP USB Device driver doesn't install. I cannot connect external devices such as the Samsung Galaxy. I tried multiple uninstall and re-install, no solution

i tried many of the ways suggested in many forums, nothing worked. actually when i forst connected te Galaxy it worked for a few days, then it stopped. My company ha installed on my PC System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection; however it was there even when i was able to connect.  i tird also the ipad and i get the same error.

the solution offered to my previous request on the same issue by Rob Thomas596 strictly refers to Apple products and i can't use it for the Galaxy

Run command prompt as administrator and run the following command:

net localgroup Administrators local service /add

That is what fixed my problem after searching everywhere

    It might be to do with MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) and Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP), they are part of Windows Media Transfer Protocol Porting Kit, comes with Windows Media Player.

    Windows 7-10 N versions (for EU due to Microsoft Corp v Commission) do not have MS Media Player therefore cannot connect to MTP devices by default.

    Viruses, software, none Microsoft singed device drivers may damage those too. Also some paranoid users uninstall Windows Media altogether with all drivers and protocols.

    Solutions: 1. Install official software from the phone manufacture. 2. Uninstall software or/drivers for other media devices such as mobile phones, cameras, printers, creepy media – video players, video downloaders, decoders, etc. 3. Roll back or reinstall Windows from scratch, make sure it is without N.

    It's the same problem when I plug the device into Android. Windows 7 x64. The problem with loading the drivers MTP USB - error code 19. Do not helped:

    • Reinstallation / update the drivers, the USB controllers,
    • Configuration in the registry: UpperFilters
    • Disable anti-virus
