Again, when the thread was started ages ago, there were no options to manage....
Now you can 'Hide' unwanted apps .... which cleans up the list to only those you use
Perhaps there could be yet a deeper archive, but MS will never allow people to erase items completely....
Yes, people should have control... I was initially annoyed by this myself (pre 'hide' being available)
But - end users tend to complain about absolutely everything.... and while THIS request IS logical on the surface, it is the people who will delete things accidentally, and then call up MS and complain that MS did it.... and then post on forums that MS support
is evil and they are all thieves etc etc (we've all seen those posts)
Complaints from those people who want to delete things is likely an easier pill that taking irate calls from those who claim 'it just happened' ... even if you DO put warnings in the terms....
Another note - due to the way the store works for developers, a mechanism that allows purging of 'free' apps would also create issues .... prices and be changed and free can be made pay - this means more than just a couple of flags in a db to control ....
Anyway - another 2 cents...
