Windows Store Shows My Installed AND Uninstalled Apps in the Option [ YOUR APPS ].

I want to remove my Uninstalled Apps From this Option.

Please Help me.

Hi Idharam,

Thank you for posting your question in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you want to remove uninstalled apps history in the "Your Apps" option  from "Windows store". Correct me if I am wrong.

It is by design and it is not possible to remove the app history. It is used for your reference, the apps that you have uninstalled, so that you can install them in the future, if you require it.

    I think the reply from the users is obvious. Microsoft team members have been saying for a few years "this is designed this way".

    I think the users are clearly saying "that's a bad design".

    I agree with that last thought.

    If a user deletes something, that's their own fault if they can't find it. If they can't find something to re-install or NOT re-install because their history is cluttered with several years worth of crap, that isn't a solution. That's just lazy product development.

    That doesn't mean you don't save any history at all, you just let the users decide to clean up their history when they want to. Or maybe they don't. But then it's THEIR decision about what to keep, not Microsoft.

    Again, when the thread was started ages ago, there were no options to manage....

    Now you can 'Hide' unwanted apps .... which cleans up the list to only those you use

    Perhaps there could be yet a deeper archive, but MS will never allow people to erase items completely....

    Yes, people should have control... I was initially annoyed by this myself (pre 'hide' being available)

    But - end users tend to complain about absolutely everything.... and while THIS request IS logical on the surface, it is the people who will delete things accidentally, and then call up MS and complain that MS did it.... and then post on forums that MS support is evil and they are all thieves  etc etc (we've all seen those posts)

    Complaints from those people who want to delete things is likely an easier pill that taking irate calls from those who claim 'it just happened' ... even if you DO put warnings in the terms....

    Another note - due to the way the store works for developers, a mechanism that allows purging of 'free' apps would also create issues .... prices and be changed and free can be made pay - this means more than just a couple of flags in a db to control ....

    Anyway - another 2 cents...

    No this is not helpful. I am an adult person with a mind of my own. I find this very frustrating that you have decided this for me. If I delete an app I want it gone, gone, gone. I in the future, If decide I want to reinstall, I will fined it again, our do without. It is designed this way, not for my convenience but for your data mining purposes. Why you even have a reply option I don't know? it is as worthless as me using it. I know these worlds will ring halo in the depths of the cyber space trash been, formerly known as file 13. Thanks for nothing. "ATTENTION TO ALL WHO READ THIS!" We are selling our souls for the opportunity to numb our brains with a bunch of nonsensical computer code, and as the old  saying goes, they are laughing all the way to the bank, at cost of our freedom, and privacy.
