Hoya, i have had the phone two weeks and thought i was being daft. I read the instruction manual but i am quite sure its not me. It dies not focus properly if there are things nearer the the object you want to focus on. When taking a picture of a flower with leaves i tried to focus on the petals which it did but when the shot was taken the leaves were in focus nut petals all blurry... When taking quick shots this is quite useless its a pain yo get it right.
Lumia 1020 Camera Won't Hold Focus
When using my 1020, I hold the shutter button halfway down to let it autofocus. It proceeds to do so briefly, but as I push the button, it loses focus and results in blurry photos. The manual focus does a little better. If I tap to focus, I can usually get the focus I want after 10 or so tries. This issue comes up at any focal distance.
Is the camera broken?
Thanks.

2013-10-26T23:24:18+00:00 Hi Craig, why are you answering with PMs about this issue? I too have had similar experiences but with my 920, though I haven't noticed the problem for a while, but it used to do exactly that- sharp on focus preview then the taken image was far from sharp. It would be nice to know what the problem was caused by and if there is a solution?

2013-10-30T04:09:52+00:00 The closest the phone will focus is about 15cm. If you find that the object (or QR code) is at least 15cm and you're not able to focus either manually or automatically onto the object, then I would get the phone to be checked by a Nokia Care point.
