This is NOT a printer problem.  My Kodak Hero 9.1 prints everything I send to it EXCEPT the HomeGroup Password when my default browser is something other than IE.  Currently it is setup to print WIFI but I've also tried USB, 10/100 Ethernet and gigabit Ethernet with the same outcome.  This is a MS self-inflicted IE Default Browser problem. I can print the HomeGroup Password IF I make IE my default browser.  This is an unacceptable solution to this problem.  We should be able to print any object using another browser as the default.

    Hello,

Thank you for keeping us updated on the status of the issue and apology for the delayed response.

I would suggest you to run the HomeGroup troubleshooter and check if it helps.

If the above troubleshooter doesn't help then try follow the troubleshooting steps from this Microsoft article and check if it helps:

    HomeGroup problems in Windows

Refer to the section: I can't print to a homegroup printer

    Hope this information helps.

Please reply with the results, in order to help you fix the issue.

    Thank you

You're making it more difficult than it truly is; It's NOT a printing problem OR HomeGroup problem.  It is an IE problem in that Windows will NOT PRINT the HomeGroup PASSWORD unless the default browser is IE.  If I make IE the default browser it prints the HomeGroup password just fine but, I do NOT want IE as my default browser.  To verify the cause; simply install Firefox Nightly, make it your default browser and attempt to print the HomeGroup password.  Then change your default browser back to IE and voila it prints just fine

If you have a 'Snipping tool' on your PC, use this to take a snip and name it  Network or something similar then  paste on to a 'Word' Doc.

I have tried this method because I use Google and do not want to set IE as my default.

It may not fix the problem but you have a copy of your Password

Why do you people insist on providing more and more obvious workarounds when we want the problem FIXED!?

Everyone knows we could just screenshot the window, crop, and print that. But we don't want to! That we could let IE be the default browser for a second while issuing the print command, then set it back to our preference. But we don't want to!

We want Microsoft to acknowledge this as a bug in the operating system and fix Homegroup password printing to not require reconfiguring the system to use IE as the default browser. Even for a split second.

You seriously want IE to be the default browser just so we can print? No! Does not compute! It should not be a requirement for printing the contents of a WebBrowserControl(InternetExplorer). Make it so it prints fine whatever browser we have. Use a standard method for printing, not some Homegroup-IE-specific printer hack.

My favorite printer is Save as PDF anyway. (Windows 10's built in default PDF printer.)
