What if one doesn't want Internet Explorer as their default web browser? I've used Mozilla Firefox for years now and don't want to change back to IE.  HELP!!!!!

What if you have Windows 10 and IT WANTS YOU TO USE EDGE??!?!?!?!

Hello fellow unable to print their homegroup passworders.

My workaround was to use another computer (A) with the password on the screen and type the password in the other computer (B) while I look on the screen of computer A.  It worked great.

To finally print the password, I used Snipping Tool which I believe is a Desktop App.  Using this app, I drew a rectangle around what I wanted to print and voila - it printed.  It is a powerful tool and perfect for situations like this.  It even has buttons built in to email your screen snip, save as an image, etc.

Also, for ultimate security, you could write the password down on a piece of paper using pen, pencil, crayon, sharpie, colored pencil, charcoal, or paint.  Or type it into a text document, a Word file, or using any text editor, or your smart phone, and maybe even write it in a special coded way so only you can understand it.  Then put it in a filing cabinet, or your drawer full of DVD's or PlayStation or Xbox games, since you might actually need it while using one of those.

It probably sounds silly - all this obvious advice.  It just seems this would be a good workaround and the password is only needed once for most people.

So here I am at the end of 2017 and I just did a reinstall of Windows 10 and I am having this exact same issue. So I changed the default browser from Microsofts own Edge to IE and then tried to print the new Home Group password again and I still get the same error code. Everything else prints just fine from any of the computers on my home group but not the HG password. I then did a reboot and still the same issue. Arrrrrrg, no time for this.

Yup, the good ol snipping tool is a good workaround but it just feels like I am using a faulty OS in having to do this.
