You may have to print the password on another member of the Home Group as it is not available on the computer for which the password is needed!

Simply stated - Microsoft Windows 10 includes a prompt to print the homegroup password. When you click on it, you get an error. This feature worked on previous versions of Windows. It does not work now, therefore it is broken.

I am sure all of us can figure out several ways to capture/print the password without using the broken feature. The reason for the original post was merely to point out that this feature no longer works, not to seek work-arounds.  It would seem to be an easy fix,  Yet, after several months it has not been fixed nor even acknowledged by MS. Some people (me included) find this puzzling and a bit frustrating.

The suggestion that it will work if you make IE your default browser is no****t even worth trying. It is just another work-around.  MS keeps touting the Edge browser as the preferred browser for Windows 10.

Now April 2017 and I agree @Jim McColl. The trite replies given by MS four years later are all a work-around of a perfectly simple request to allow the default browser to print the page, as it does with every other page without plummeting into any of the settings.

Bing is the nearest we come to a Crosby Road movie that nobody wants to travel on where whacky things happen and stop the flow.
