2016-05-06T07:51:47+00:00 But, that is the point, to print the password and instructions page.
You are not in any browser while you are on the Homegroup page and that is the issue here.
You can't print the page unless IE is your default browser. That is the complaint, most people are moving away from IE to other browsers.
Why is Microsoft making you use IE browser to print this page while, if you read between the lines, Microsoft what you to use the hyped up Edge browser that is supposedly replacing IE.
I don't use IE anymore because it keeps crashing.
This are no other problems printing anything from any browser or printing saved documents that I know of.

2016-05-05T06:50:33+00:00 You can also get to the 'Homegroup' page through the network and sharing page. It's not a browser page that I am aware of. The issue is this page has a clickable instruction that says 'Print this page' By clicking this you bring up the error reported what you don't do is print the page. I hope that is clear

The Homegroup page that shows the Homegroup Password has a click on link to print the page. when you click on the link to print the page you get the error message that is being reported as a problem. What part of that does Microsoft fail to understand.

2016-05-05T03:04:28+00:00 Is the Control Panel a web browser because that is where you go to get to the Homegroup program. In Windows 10 you go to all settings to get to the Homegroup program, this is not a web browser.
You save a document as a PDF in your documents folder, then when you want to print it, you click on the document , it brings it up in what ever PDF program you have installed and prints it from there, again, this is not a web browser. So, is your PDF program tied to IE in order to print.
We should not have to use workarounds, copy and paste, print screen or IE as the default browser in order to print this one password/document. These are all suggestions from the Microsoft community forum and from Microsoft tech people.
It's been over 3 years that I can find when this problem was first reported.
I really believe that Microsoft: 1. doesn't know how to fix this problem;
2. doesn't care about fixing this problem;
3. just doesn't want to fix this problem.
As for the hyped up Edge, that is another story. Should have not introduced it until the program has the same functional ability as IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc(this means 3rd party extensions/plugins). Right now, Edge will not load my home page, thanks, Microsoft.
Bring in someone that knows what they are doing.
