Messaging App in Windows 8 showing duplicate outgoing messages

Lately, the messaging app in Windows 8 has been malfunctioning. When I send an outgoing message, the original message pops up at the bottom like normal, but it is quickly followed by a duplicate of the same message directly underneath it. What's going on?

2013-07-13T17:26:23+00:00 yeah, me too. I'm also encountering this bug. I even reinstalled the app and disconnected my facebook account, but it did not fix the issue. Hope Microsoft would be able to fix this immediately.

2013-07-05T18:44:11+00:00 Still same issue. Duplicate in Skype and Messaging app. I also believe problem is at FB side. They are making changes in their API and MS is trying to catch up.
