Messaging App in Windows 8 showing duplicate outgoing messages

Lately, the messaging app in Windows 8 has been malfunctioning.  When I send an outgoing message, the original message pops up at the bottom like normal, but it is quickly followed by a duplicate of the same message directly underneath it.  What's going on?

    I've got the same issue too... for 6 days I think. The problems was it just suddenly happen, I don't know how it happen and how to solve it, and it annoyed me.

    I have the same problem. I once solved it by uninstall the messaging App and reinstalling it. but that's not the ideal solution. I agree, getting oficial answers is kind of complicated around here sometimes.
