Messaging App in Windows 8 showing duplicate outgoing messages

Lately, the messaging app in Windows 8 has been malfunctioning.  When I send an outgoing message, the original message pops up at the bottom like normal, but it is quickly followed by a duplicate of the same message directly underneath it.  What's going on?

    Well, if any of you installed W8.1 Preview, then you know the messaging app problem we are all having is no longer an issue. The Messaging app is no longer available. :(

    Yes , same here , my messaging app also send double messages.. I think It will solve with the update of Windows 8.1 update.. This update will change all the problems of the Windows 8...

    Yeah ,same is happening with me also , when I send someone message , it send it 2 times. I think so it is technical problem so it will be solved when an new messaging app update will come. This problem is happening with all the Windows 8 users. Hope to have this problem solve.
