Hash mismatch

Does anybody know how to fix this problem? It is related to a Windows 8 64-bit platform and seems to be rather common (see Web results for "Amd64\CNBJ2530.DPB" of prncacla.inf*"*).

No apparent malfunctions, but very slow startup, especially the first one at morning.

Below what appears in the CBS.log after multiple sfc /scannow(s) that say it is impossible to repair some damaged files.

I have tried to fix by uninstalling and re-installing KB2769165, with no result. Any other ideas?

I am going to try the dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth command and see how it goes.

L.E. Actually, there are 2 commands to run:

dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

I will be back with the results.

There is also a tool I found recently that helped me solve this issue in Windows Server 2012 R2.

The above commands didn't work so I ran this tools and it solved the problem. You can download the tool here:

I have been checking this issue through other Microsoft Communities (England, France, Italy). According to many experts the problem is not significant. Moreover, looks like sfc often reports false errors. Both my PCs (1 laptop Windows 8 Pro 64-bit and 1 desktop Windows 8 32-bit with Media Center) report the same "hash mismatch" but don't seem to show any malfunction. No Canon printers installed! I hope that Microsoft will solve this mystery ... sooner or later.

Hi Evert, I copies the files to the System32 folder, but still can't sign in. My Xbox Live ID is the same one I sign into Windows 8. I've tried changing to a Local account, setting up a new live ID, and none of that worked. Every game tells me that a connection with xbox live can't be made and to check my internet connection. Obviously, my internet connection is working fine. I've also forwarded the necessary ports on my router. One thing I can't figure out is that in the event log, every time I try to start one of the games I get the following error:

An app prevented the load of a binary due to error 0xC0000034. This could be because the binary is unsigned, contains an untrusted signature, or has been corrupted or tampered with.

I'm not sure how to figure out what binary the app is trying to load.

Thank you for the response and suggestion. The log is indeed long and distinguished for an OS that has only been installed (clean install) on my PC for under one month. Nothing jumps out but I'm amazed by the number of events (5,530).

Curious if the said file is 64/32 bit specific. My sons box scans without errors so I'm tempted to run with your idea of copying the file from his box but his Windows 8 installation is a 32 bit install and mine is 64. Ideas?
