Hash mismatch

Does anybody know how to fix this problem? It is related to a Windows 8 64-bit platform and seems to be rather common (see Web results for "Amd64\CNBJ2530.DPB" of prncacla.inf*"*).

No apparent malfunctions, but very slow startup, especially the first one at morning.

Below what appears in the CBS.log after multiple sfc /scannow(s) that say it is impossible to repair some damaged files.

I have tried to fix by uninstalling  and re-installing KB2769165, with no result. Any other ideas?

I am going to try the dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth command and see how it goes.

L.E. Actually, there are 2 commands to run:

dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

I will be back with the results.

There is also a tool I found recently that helped me solve this issue in Windows Server 2012 R2.

The above commands didn't work so I ran this tools and it solved the problem. You can download the tool here:

I have been checking this issue through other Microsoft Communities (England, France, Italy). According to many experts the problem is not significant. Moreover, looks like sfc often reports false errors. Both my PCs (1 laptop Windows 8 Pro 64-bit and 1 desktop Windows 8 32-bit with Media Center) report the same "hash mismatch" but don't seem to show any malfunction. No Canon printers installed! I hope that Microsoft will solve this mystery ... sooner or later.

    I did not have to reboot.

    Ran DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth when sfc /scannnow failed to correct recurrent problems.

    after the DISM command then ran sfc /scannow again without reboot and it produced:    

    widows resource protection did not find any integrity violations

    I had similar problems to others described in this thread:

    Had performed windows 8.0 refresh, then reset, then recovery 5 external disks from HP.  On one of my new computers I updated from windows 8.0 to 8.10

    Continue to run my computer in clean boot state..........all services other than microsoft remain off on the boot

    run chkdsk /f /r regularly

    run sfc /scannow regularly

    run microsoft defender full scan regularly

    defragment HD regularly

    One time I had sfc /scannow unable to repair and then ran the dism commands and then ran sfc/scannow again and it was repaired.  This problem has recurred.

    Running sfc /scannow produced:

    Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of the them /  Details are included in the CBS.log windir \Logs\CBS\CBS/log

    When opening mycomputer and going to the windows folder I found no cbs.log file.  There was a CBStemp file and right click indicated that it was empty.  When I checked my second computer it had the identical empty CBStemp file.

    The only way I found the CBS.log file was to use everythingsearch.  If someone has a better way to foind the file withouth the everythihgsearch please indicate how to go directly to this folder.  Can the CBC log file be viewed as it is being created by the results form sfc/ scannow or do you have to wait until it has completed generating the notepad result?

    I had also noted that canon printer installed on my computer and I too never had a canon printer.  Like the person earlier in this thread that appears to be a windows update problem installing the erroneous file.

    I will now run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth then reboot and run sfc /scannow to see if it gets fixed
