How do I get my Google Calendar events to show in the Calendar app in Windows 8?

    That part of the instructions are rubbish:

    1. Sign into Outlook.com
    2. Click the drop down arrow next to the Outlook.com logo
    3. Click Calendar
    4. Click Import
    5. Now you can follow steps 6 and 7 above. Namely:

    6. Tap or click Subscribe.7. Paste the URL you’d copied earlier inCalendar URL, add a name for this calendar, and tap or click Subscribe to calendar.

    That method works fine, but i have one small issue. Google only gives private address to the user calendar, but the birthday calendar does not give any address or any option to download that calendar. So i cannot import it with outlook calendar.

    Another method i tried was imported contacts from google to outlook account. Those contacts had birthdays noted in them which was visible in outlook too. but the calendar never got updated. 

    How do i add contact birthdays on the outlook calendar???

    What calendar do you mean? Google doesn't have a Birthday Calendar feature, Outlook.com does though.

    Every Google Calendar has an ICS link, it's in Settings for each calendar.

    I imported the Google calender and now want to undo the import, basically go back to having my Google calender separate, can you pls. tell me how to do that.
