    It worked perfectly before the recent update (provided you were already connected(!

    Neither solution is good enough.

    The first option imports a STATIC ICS file that won't update Google Calendar (if we wanted to use Outlook.com's Calendar we already would be) and the second option is READ ONLY!

    For now I am using the second option as it at least updates when I update events at Google.com but it's far from a solution and frankly, sucks.

    I hope Microsoft is adding CalDAV support to the Windows 8 Calendar app, as the Windows Phone team are. CalDAV is supported by Google Calendar and allows for proper Calendar synchronisation.

    As Exchange ActiveSync does, before Google dropped free EAS support.

    For the record it too 68 hours for my Google Calendar feed to be updated (4 hours shy of 3 days).

    Nearly for 4 days for a feed I subscribed to in Windows Live/Outlook.com Calendar and Microsoft is expecting people use instead of Exchange ActiveSync to connect to Google Calendar.

    I appreciate why this change was made for users connecting to Google Calendar now (blame Google) but Google aren't cutting off connections already in place (even the Microsoft link says this), so why cut those off too?

    4 days! An utter joke. I'm expected to rely on this right? At least a manual refresh link would be a start.

    This is outrageous! Someone from Microsoft needs to get with someone at Google and get this back under control. I spent a lot of money on a new Windows 8 device for my business because calendar syncs with Google, and Google syncs with my android phone. I made my purchase because I thought someone finally got it right..... How disappointing! (And Unacceptable)

    I totally agree ZLoomis. I too paid a lot of money for my Windows 8 (Sony) laptop.

    This time it took 41.5 hours (6.5 hours short of 2 days!) for my Google Calendar on my Outlook.com Calendar to be updated. That's still dreadful.

    Just add Caldav support already.
