how do you make the clock and date always visible in windows 8?

Hello,

On the earlier operating systems the date and clock would be in the lower right hand side.  The new windows 8 doesn't have that,  the date and clock appear for a little bit.  I must have the date and clock show at all times when I am on the computer.  Weather in websites or otherwise.  I searched topics and didn't appear to be a solution.

I must have it, if it is not an option, then someone at Microsoft windows needs to figure this out.

Unfortunately, that option is not possible as it is designed in that way.

    Really Hamilton?   It's called glanceability-  Is that a mantra of the new live tiled UI?   When I am working in an App, I don't want to stop everything and touch/mouse-over somewhere else to see the time.  I just want to look at the bottom right corner.  Simple.

    Well unfortunately, there's nothing you can do other than switching to desktop mode or downloading a Clock App so the time can be on a live tile on your Start Screen.

    Yes need Clock..Pease Developers sometimes change is not needed. I've been working with computers since 1975.  Am slightly disabled. How can I have clock.?

    I Concur, also miss the back arrow on the top left.

    I agree with the other comments on this issue.  The clock and date should be visible in Win 8.  This should be basic, and I shouldn't have to go through the Desktop mode to see the Taskbar.  I cannot believe that was the MS recommended fix ....  "unbelievable".  I thought that I just hadn't figured out how to set it up yet.  If I didn't want to use Win 8, I wouldn't have bought Win 8. 

    Also, it's not just the Clock and Date missing; the entire Taskbar is missing.  Another issue that I see not having full time access to the Taskbar is that you cannot see the battery status.  When the battery starts getting low, you better have enough time built into that warning alarm to "plug in". 

    I also agree that I haven't seen too many comments from Windows 8 techs on this issue lately.  Is having a Taskbar really that difficult to fix.  Is customer satisfaction of any importance?
