how do you make the clock and date always visible in windows 8?

Hello,

On the earlier operating systems the date and clock would be in the lower right hand side.  The new windows 8 doesn't have that,  the date and clock appear for a little bit.  I must have the date and clock show at all times when I am on the computer.  Weather in websites or otherwise.  I searched topics and didn't appear to be a solution.

I must have it, if it is not an option, then someone at Microsoft windows needs to figure this out.

Unfortunately, that option is not possible as it is designed in that way.

    I JUST bought a laptop with Windows 8, and now I realize this??? I agree with all the other customers on here-- this is unacceptable.  I'm going to return this new laptop and buy an older one with Windows 7. No joke -- I need the time/date there all the time.  No other option. 

    I have the same concern for Windows 8. That is the most upset thing for this Windows version.

    My display screen is 24" and too much space to display  date and time. Suppose  I am playing a game for a moment, to take a look for the time I had to rotate my head 170 degrees to see time on Wall watch.

    I am seriously planninng to buy a Vaio Duo 13 shortly but the only negative issue is Windows 8 such disadvatages.

    By the way, the other disadvantage is mail program which is realy primitive than Windows 7.

    Hello,

    It has been well over 6 months now and I haven't seen a fix yet.  Is there anyone from Microsoft looking at this issue log?

    The majority of people are asking for a stationary clock with date.  Seriously??? I can't believe this hasn't been corrected yet.  Is really that difficult to have an IT programmer correct the clock and date feature?  That all prior operating systems had?  I really find this hard to believe let alone that strangers out there are trying to "FIX" the problem for Microsoft.  I would think as a the Microsoft company this embarrassment alone would trigger a solution quickly.

    I am really not having any confidence Microsoft.  On another note, Where is the little start menu at?  The one where all the old systems had in the lower left hand corner?  I can understand the windows 8 smartphone view, but the windows basic view doesn't have it.  Do you have any idea how more work is involved in trying to find the basic information that was at the tip of my fingers on the earlier versions?

    Can you please help?
