how do you make the clock and date always visible in windows 8?

Hello,

On the earlier operating systems the date and clock would be in the lower right hand side.  The new windows 8 doesn't have that,  the date and clock appear for a little bit.  I must have the date and clock show at all times when I am on the computer.  Weather in websites or otherwise.  I searched topics and didn't appear to be a solution.

I must have it, if it is not an option, then someone at Microsoft windows needs to figure this out.

Unfortunately, that option is not possible as it is designed in that way.

    I agree 100%.  You need to fix this.  I am very unhappy with this new "non-existent" clock.  smh.

    I JUST bought a laptop with Windows 8, and now I realize this??? I agree with all the other customers on here-- this is unacceptable.  I'm going to return this new laptop and buy an older one with Windows 7. No joke -- I need the time/date there all the time.  No other option. 

    I have the same concern for Windows 8. That is the most upset thing for this Windows version.

    My display screen is 24" and too much space to display  date and time. Suppose  I am playing a game for a moment, to take a look for the time I had to rotate my head 170 degrees to see time on Wall watch.

    I am seriously planninng to buy a Vaio Duo 13 shortly but the only negative issue is Windows 8 such disadvatages.

    By the way, the other disadvantage is mail program which is realy primitive than Windows 7.

    Hello,

    How is it possible to have a new Operating system upgrade if lacks the one of the fundaments of the earlier version?

    If you search, their are thousands that what this option. 

    I would hope someone in IT over there is working on a fix.

    This is unacceptable and I am very upset customer, that has been using windows for a long time.  Maybe I should have gotten a Mac instead.

    So, apparently the only option is to get a Mac or downgrade to an earlier version of Windows -- just to have something as simple as a desktop clock?! Heck, I have a real clock on my desktop, and it's nice not having to move all my papers out of the way whenever I want to see what time it is. Too bad Microsoft products can't be as practical as real life.
