So why is this problem not a simple fix???? I cannot copy and paste with this windows 8.1. Very frustrating. :-()
There has to be a simple way to do this. I have a brand new computer and nothing is corrupted.

Hi,
This is probably the wrong forum to post this question in. But I am running a Windows 8 Pro 64bit machine, and I am experiencing problems with the Copy, Cut and Paste feature in windows explorer, where I try to copy a directory or file from one location to another but it does not work. I do have permission rights. Is this a bug in the operating system?

I have the same problem, can not copy and paste from ANY webpage, etc. Have had this problem for weeks now. Microsoft MUST have changed something for this suddenly to stop working. GEEZE you'd think after all these years Microsoft would start getting their new products to work before they SELL them and MAKE money off of them. I am NOT a happy customer.
Same thing here, I think Microsoft is doing this on purpose.
Seems NO ONE can come up with a fix or answer on this.
ive even tried the sf/scannow thing, it took forever to do this and it did not show what percentage of it had scanned, just said please wait - 3 hours laters i switched the pc off)
since then what did happen it that it allowed some program to allow pop ups (appeared on every website i visited) but thankfully i managed to disable them.
