Copy and Paste Feature Not Working in Windows 8

Hi,

This is probably the wrong forum to post this question in. But I am running a Windows 8 Pro 64bit machine, and I am experiencing problems with the Copy, Cut and Paste feature in windows explorer, where I try to copy a directory or file from one location to another but it does not work. I do have permission rights. Is this a bug in the operating system?

Method 1: sfc /scannow "did not find any integrity violations".

Method 2: is crazy and not acceptable - because of "Note". Who in a normal mind would do something like that to uninstall all programs that are already installed from DVDs etc. A lot of wasted time / reinstalling.

Copy/paste still does not work !

(i.e. in the beginning it works, and then after awhile it stops working. Rebooting PC when you need to copy/paste something is very counter-productive)

Copy/paste is the basic necessity. Microsoft must really priorities fixing that bug.

Windows 8 with all fancy stuff and without basic copy/paste - there are other OS on a market.

Quite unexpected outcome - returning whole new computer because MS cannot fix basic copy/paste bug.

(and provider does not allow to change back to more stable previous win7 version).

I have been so frustrated with the cut and paste problem I am tempted to buy an old computer with windows 7.

Running "rdpclip.exe" did fix my copy/paste problem. Thanks!

I'll wait and see if the problem comes back, to decide if I'll need to add it to my startup folder.

Looks like latest Windows Update and a couple reboots fixed it.  I hope it doesn't come back.  Thanks!
