Can't download anything on Windows 8

Original Title: Nothing will download in Windows 8?

I'm not sure whats causing this, but NOTHING will download in windows 8. Not apps, or things i download on the internet. It will start the download and then it will say, "The download was interrupted." I've tried a clean boot, but that didn't help. Any ideas as to what is causing this?

    Hi again,

     

    I am using Windows 8 version 6.2 on a computer, it is not the RT version.

    No, downloads have never worked on this computer. I have tried all of your suggestions, and none of them work. I even installed a fresh copy of windows 8, but nothing seems to work. I know it is not my internet connection, because my brother has the same computer, and windows version, but he has no problem downloading anything.

    I had the same problem. Go to youtube and watch how to sign in as the Administrator. It worked for me.

    Hey Rebecca,

     I had the same problem as you with a brand new computer. From day one it would not download anything. Go to youtube and watch a video on how to log in as the Administrator. It worked for me, and probably work for you too. Good luck.

    Hi,

    I can't download literaly anything, any apps, any security updates, any adobe things, ANYTHING!!!

    Except I know the problem that causes this "SmartScreen Filter cannot read your program/download" What is this suppose to mean?, and how do I fix this? I use windows 9 and explorer 7, or the other way around.

    I don't have HP and I'm getting the same problems with Samsung.

    Check on youtube for the video on how to do it. Look for signing in as administrater in Windows 8. I had the same problem and fixed it this way.
