Original Title: Nothing will download in Windows 8?
I'm not sure whats causing this, but NOTHING will download in windows 8. Not apps, or things i download on the internet. It will start the download and then it will say, "The download was interrupted." I've tried a clean boot, but that didn't help. Any ideas as to what is causing this?

I have the 2012 HP DV7, I installed Windows 8 Pro myself after about a month. At first I was able to update all my apps but now no app has ever downloaded besides Wikipedia for some reason. nothing will download from explorer either, the download will start but stays at 0%. I have Bitdefender 2013 installed. I see that this question has been asked a lot. I would like a solution or my money back.
I'm having a similar problem. I am using the Microsoft Surface RT and I can download iTunes or any other thing off the internet, but they just wont run!!! A message will pop up saying "This app cant run on your PC". Why cant I run I run the programs?!?!?!?
SOLVED! Press Windows symbol and X together, select control panel, select Uninstall a Program, highlight Mcafee Parental Controls and click Uninstall. Everything will download and install fine once its been removed.
Don't have Mcafee on my computer so I still can't download anything !
Once I re-started my PC after sorting out Adobe Reader, everything started working fine.
