Can't download anything on Windows 8

interesting suggestion. It happens randomly to be honest. someone from microsoft contacted me asking for stupid details to "help me solve the problem". thing is....its totally random....so i cant give him details such as what file types wont download. ive tried all the mediocre suggestions such as temporarily turn off internet security software etc. its sooooo random that its hard to say wtf is going on. its as though it randomly chooses which sites it will accept a download from. sometimes it accepts downloads from popular websites....sometimes not. The thing about your suggestion is that it creates one more step in loggin onto my computer. such a problem should be solvable without having to mask it with DIY attempts. its like microsoft says....here you go....our computers are broken...just make do with it and figure it out.

Ok I have a suggestion and this may help you and others as well.  Create a new user on your computer other than the administrator , say the user on the computer is your name , which is what we all usually do, create a new user with a password and then try to download something it should work just fine it did for me. I have been trying to download since November. Hope this helps everyone out.

Hi look up my question that I posted "cant download anything using windows 8. downloads stall/freeze/are interrupted". I have managed to narrow down the problem. but I havnt solved it fully. The problem lies in the interaction between ANY Internet Security software and windows firewall.

Next time I will buy a Mac. I wont even have second thoughts.....seriously. I have a passionate hate for Microsoft now....and that idiot of a CEO they have.

Are you running windows 8 ? If you are, go to youtube and watch the video on how to sign in as the administrator in windows 8. Hope this helps.
