I am annoyed as well as some of the functionality in the charms area and applications are limited in what you can do with them such as Skype, email etc. I downloaded the Windows 7 Skype and use it as it is far more usable. I don't like being forced to
use the charms.. I go to the desktop immediately when I boot up.
I don't like being forced to go to the corners to access shut down etc. I simply like the way you shut down in Windows 7 Sometimes, the placement of the cursor to power off takes longer and more cumbersome than I like. Its a lack of control over my own
system that disturbes me.
I use a 24GB i7 notebook so I am NOT using the touch capabilities. I am more of a static user and the Windows 8 is designed for two different environments. They could resolve this by making the Pro version that I upgraded too a non charms version.
But, like Office 2013, they force you to their manner of implementation as they removed all Office 2010 off the shelves.. so, I have a busy temp file with Office 2013 files I can't delete. This is not making a lot of users happy.
