have you found that this program downloads conduits? I tried using Shell and liked it - but had to uninstall because the conduits it installs screwed up so much other stuff. Had to take my laptop back to factory settings...
This is not the 1st time I have heard of negative issues & conflicts in regard to these particular, 3rd Party programs. Which, leads me to repeating that they are not necessary, in the 1st place. Ergo, if they are not installed or used, one never need
worry about having such scenarios arise.
Whether (all) people will accept it or not, Windows is very nicely usable, workable w/out such add-ons.
One cool tip is focus on Desktop and enable the Desktop Toolbar.
Also, it IS possible to have (All) Applications in a folder on the Taskbar.
W/ the above 2 points and Pinning things including, Store APPs to the Taskbar... one can pretty much stay on Desktop & accessing things, drilling down & navigating in Win8 becomes really quite a slick, seamless, pleasure.
I have detailed the 'How To' for these things elsewhere but, if interested, just ask & I'll be glad to the instructions, again, anytime.
Cheers,
Drew
