I think the issue can be counted as solved now. No more BSODs after installing NVIDIA driver from laptop vendor ASUS.

Thank you all for help.

    Hi,

    I have a Sony VAIO Fit 15 E SVF1532I4EW 15.5''/Intel® Core™ i3-4005U processor (1.7 GHz, 2 MB cache)/ram: 4 GB DDR3. It is brand new as i bought it several days ago.

I opted for a trial run of Microsoft Office 356 and then I remember closing the program, afterwards I tried to disconnect from the Wi-fi when the screen froze, and the DPC watchdog violation message appeared. It then restarted the PC, tried to configure windows updates and now the screen is telling me this:

failure configuring windows updates, reverting changes, do not turn of your computer

    somebody please help...

my computer restarts every time when I switching on, saying that it's a "DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION" error.

however i could solve this problem by system restore.

    Hi Raz.,

That's very interesting, thanks for that.

I also hav a NVIDIA graphics card, however it's only a GTX 670M.

For what it's worth, on my Windows 8.1 system Nvida GeoForce Experience works fine.
