I think the issue can be counted as solved now. No more BSODs after installing NVIDIA driver from laptop vendor ASUS.

    How can we get the Windows 8 bootable DVD when it is not supplied with the original Laptop I bought from Dell, earlier when I had bought a Dell with Windows 7, they gave a complete CD & DVD pack, but with new 8.1, I get pre-installed OS with no CD/DVD with it. Am I required to buy it or any sofware help available on net??? After I started seeing DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error, I am being unable to play XBOX games i.e. Asphalt racing or Hill Climb races etc on mhy system, please help.

    Hi there.. I used to get 2 - 15 crashes a day on my Super spec laptop (MSI GT70)

    I reduced the blue screen crashes by doing 2 things;

    • Disable your graphics card's auto update and auto install
    • Disable Windows Updates auto update and auto install

    What my theory is that large files that are automatically downloading in the background and then auto installing in the background it puts a bit of strain on Windows background processes and then it malfunctions

    Since I disabled my Windows Updates auto install and update my I know hardly ever get that ridiculous blue screen Issue

    Questions;

    1. What graphics card do you have
    2. Is your machine hard disks SSD or normal Sata Hard Disks
