DPC Watchdog Violation Windows 8 [SOLVED]

Hello!

Time to time I get the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. Moustly when i play games. I use laptop Asus n56vz and SSD OCZ Vector 512 GB . I've tried updating all drivers, BIOS, and SSD Firmware, but i am still getting the error.  I used NOD32 Antivirus i unistalled it but still have this error.

I think the issue can be counted as solved now. No more BSODs after installing NVIDIA driver from laptop vendor ASUS.

    Try a restore to an earlier restore point (if you haven't already...)

    Same thing happened to me its ridiculous I pay money an now my laptop is useless , windows never came with anti virus so that's something they fell to mention and now I am paying far too much just to get it running right  or is  there is such a thing  I switched to a Mac , just wanted to say my experience with a windows 8.1

    Has nothing to do with the anti-virus. There's a residential anti-virus built in to Win 8.1 (Windows Defender - anti-virus, anti-malware, and firewall) which in my opinion is better than most 3rd party anti-viruses, as it doesn't interfere all the time with apps or the internet. I have win 8.1 running on all my machines and no issues at all. Due to a slimmed down kernel (many apps and processes relegated to the cloud), it runs much more efficiently than the much heavier Win7. You might try uninstalling all the "bloatware" (software you don't need) that came with your laptop from the factory...

    Hi, do you know what's wrong with my Windows?

    I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Y410p running Windows 8.1, equipped with a Core i7-4700MQ CPU, GT 750M GPU, and 8 GB RAM.  I think I started getting BSODs [frequently] after installing the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility software.  My computer experiences BSOD just after showing the Lenovo screen on boot.  Sometimes, it restarts and boots correctly.  Other times, it won't reboot from the BSOD screen by itself and I had to do a force shut down (by holding down the power button) and boot it manually for Windows to load properly.

    I also experience freezes (accompanied by a hanging noise), leading to BSODs with a Watchdog error notice, when I play games sometimes.  Like the BSOD issue above the computer sometimes reboots by itself or it would leave me doing it manually.  I already uninstalled the Intel XTU software and it still does this.
