Service Pack 2 for Office 2010 update fail - Error 8024002D

Hello,

I can't install this update, apparently because it is looking for something called "SingleImageWW.msi" and not finding it.

Manually download and install the SP2 :-

http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=39667 (32 bit)

http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=39647 (64 bit)

If unsure of whether or not you're running 32 bit or 64 bit, refer to this thread:

If you still have trouble, try updating in a clean boot state:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-au (don't forget to return to normal boot when finished).

Office updates can fail if the update files are looking for the original installation files.

Sometimes downloading the full file remedies that problem or putting the installation media in the installation drive can also assist.

If still failing, perhaps you'll need to perform a repair install.

    I was requesting information (files)  to be uploaded to your Sky Drive and shared so that I could investigate your  problem updating Microsoft Office. As you have since resolved your problem there is obviously no need to provide the information. Case closed.

    so why on earth isnt there a fix or a help desk worker who can bother helping people?  not your fauly cindy but when I try to comment it goes to you.  maybe the charlie in the help desk will let the rest of the world know?

    there are 28 posts on this thread and not one solution.  why isnt microsoft putting up a solution?  why are we bothering with a help desk that is worse than facebooks'  help desk?
