Service Pack 2 for Office 2010 update fail - Error 8024002D

Hello,

I can't install this update, apparently because it is looking for something called "SingleImageWW.msi" and not finding it.

Manually download and install the SP2 :-

http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=39667 (32 bit)

http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=39647 (64 bit)

If unsure of whether or not you're running 32 bit or 64 bit, refer to this thread:

If you still have trouble, try updating in a clean boot state:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-au (don't forget to return to normal boot when finished).

Office updates can fail if the update files are looking for the original installation files.

Sometimes downloading the full file remedies that problem or putting the installation media in the installation drive can also assist.

If still failing, perhaps you'll need to perform a repair install.

    No matter what I do, windows Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB2687455) 32-Bit Edition will NOT install. I try to ignore it but it keeps popping up on Bitdefender. All other UpDates install fine.

    I have repeated the steps more than 10 times and before I can shut it down I get the Failed message. I have tried all the recommendations online and still cannot resolve this!

    You keep sending me the same answer and it STILL DOES NOT WORK!

    Stop slapping me in the face with this message because it is ineffective.

    But,  you will simply ignore this message and send it over and over.

    Again, I will be IGNORED!

    Exact same problem.  I have now tried installation of this update 5 times.  Still searches for same SingleImageWW.msi file.  I purchased this upgraded Microsoft Office 2010 when I upgraded my operating system to Windows Ultimate 7.  It was downloaded online using the registration key (which I received after I was mailed the software), but there was no disc/hard media included. 

    Apparently many are having this issue.  Please, Microsoft, fix this!
