Problem with wireless adapter or Access point

Do I understand correctly that your computer came pre-installed with Windows 10 from the factory?

Can I please have your computer's manufacturer and model number?

If it works well for a while and then stops, the root issue could be the driver crashing, or a changing network condition like another device tries to register the same IP address or DNS name with the router.  Just hard to know at this point.  It's not impossible that the card itself fails when it gets warm but that's incredibly unlikely, especially if you can "fix" it by resetting it with the troubleshooter.

  • not sure about that because i was not using the wifi at first.

  • i have no idea.. i think that is not conflicting with any other drivers because i tried installing only the network adapter
• Can you restore back to a few hours before it broke?
  • no, i tried switching the OS and from 8.1 to 10 and back, now i have windows 10 and it still does not work properly.
• Does the device have a warning or issue details in Device Manager?-
  • it doesn't, it actually works for a while and then stops until i troubleshoot it
• What's the error message you are seeing, and when does it show (trying to join a hotspot, at bootup, etc?) -

• Are you able to "ping" your access point/gateway IP address?

Well if it came with your computer, did it arrive broken on day 1, or was it working for a while?  Hopefully you are taking quick action when it stopped working, and all you need to do to fix it is restore back 8 or 20 hours or so and figure out what broken it between then and now.  Maybe it's an update that causes issues and you need to remove and avoid (or get a new version of the same update, they are frequently re-issued if problems are reported).

Otherwise, you're going to need to do more detective work by answering questions (to yourself or back to us):

• when did it stop working?
• What changed?
• Can you undo the change?
• Can you restore back to a few hours before it broke?
• Does the device have a warning or issue details in Device Manager?
• Does the driver find available networks at all, or is it completely offline?
• What's the error message you are seeing, and when does it show (trying to join a hotspot, at bootup, etc?)
• Are you able to "ping" your access point/gateway IP address?

If you don't know how to test some of these, post back and we'll go through it.  But if you took your computer to any professional, these are the tests/answers they would seek anyway so let's just figure out what's wrong, when it broke, and how to fix it...

First of all - sorry for disturbing you, i know that is quite annoying to talk about the same problem over and over again. I have a problem with my wireless adapter. It came with my laptop. I have tried to install other versions of the network driver and it didn't help. Now i am on the last version available. If you have any clues of what can cause that problem (except drivers and the adapter it self) - please help me.

Look at the instructions above - "DanielMcCarthyNT replied on January 24" - for an answer.  This should eliminate your woes.  It solved the same issue for many others.
