Well if it came with your computer, did it arrive broken on day 1, or was it working for a while? Hopefully you are taking quick action when it stopped working, and all you need to do to fix it is restore back 8 or 20 hours or so and figure out what broken
it between then and now. Maybe it's an update that causes issues and you need to remove and avoid (or get a new version of the same update, they are frequently re-issued if problems are reported).
Otherwise, you're going to need to do more detective work by answering questions (to yourself or back to us):
- when did it stop working?
- What changed?
- Can you undo the change?
- Can you restore back to a few hours before it broke?
- Does the device have a warning or issue details in Device Manager?
- Does the driver find available networks at all, or is it completely offline?
- What's the error message you are seeing, and when does it show (trying to join a hotspot, at bootup, etc?)
- Are you able to "ping" your access point/gateway IP address?
If you don't know how to test some of these, post back and we'll go through it. But if you took your computer to any professional, these are the tests/answers they would seek anyway so let's just figure out what's wrong, when it broke, and how to fix it...
