Problem with wireless adapter or Access point

I am having problems with my wireless connection and troubelshoot tells me that I have a problem with the wireless adapter or access point. What can I do, as the internet is not the problem. Does this have something to do with my PC setting?

    dealt with this issue for a year. after trying many many things the one thing that solved the issue was to reinstall windows. 30+ year experience as a tech. 

    That is the last resort for basically any problem that won't go away. That's just like saying "go buy a new laptop from a store". So, not really a solution.

    I've found a solution. It's a work around that doesn't concern any of microsoft tech. 

    Just go buy a $5 usb wifi. It's worth it. It just makes a good alternative to the wifi you have embedded in the Surface or any other PC.

    Does it connect for a while then drop out periodically (every few minutes/hours), or does it never ever connect in the first place?

    Also just before we go further, it's never a bad tactic to go to your PC builder's website (Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, whatever...) and download and re-install the latest available network/wireless drivers they have for your model.  This solves more than 90% of most issues in less than 5 minutes.

    i have the same problem too.

    1. drivers are up to date
    2. i have turn on/off wifi connection
    3. i have reset my router
    4. nothing wrong with my connection

    and nothing change,this problem keep happening
