I fixed it.
The problem is caused by Windows Store app accessing internet through IPv6 connection.
IPv6 can be disabled by unchecking IPv6 in your network adapter settings.
If the problem still exists, try changing the DNS servers.

Suddenly when I try to open the Windows 8 Store App instead of taking me to the store the green App loading screen flashes up and then it takes me to my start menu. I can hover my pointer over the upper left hand screen and see the app is there but when I switch to it I am get the flash of green app loading screen and then right back to my start menu.
I have found some similar issues on the forums but none of their fixes have worked for me.
This is a Windows 8 PC, not a tablet.

I am having the exact same issue with Windows app store not working. In fact, none of my apps, like netflix and facebook are working. I get a message that tells me I have no internet connection but I do. So, what is the problem? I have tried all of the suggestions listed above and nothing works. This is very frustrating.
