I fixed it.
The problem is caused by Windows Store app accessing internet through IPv6 connection.
IPv6 can be disabled by unchecking IPv6 in your network adapter settings.
If the problem still exists, try changing the DNS servers.

Suddenly when I try to open the Windows 8 Store App instead of taking me to the store the green App loading screen flashes up and then it takes me to my start menu. I can hover my pointer over the upper left hand screen and see the app is there but when I switch to it I am get the flash of green app loading screen and then right back to my start menu.
I have found some similar issues on the forums but none of their fixes have worked for me.
This is a Windows 8 PC, not a tablet.

Hi Balaji,
By running a command Powershell with some of the switches alongwith may help in getting the issue resolved.
Perform the steps suggested by dlorde from the link mentioned below and see if it helps.
Note: Press Windows key + X, then click Command prompt and then type the full Powershell command.
Please reply if you have any questions.
The store app, after a system refresh (windows 8.1 downgraded to windows 8 automatically), is not opening. WSreset.exe says that the app cannot be opened because it cannot find a valid license.
I have checked the activation of windows, and it says that this copy is activated and licensed.
I want to upgrade to Windows 8.1, and the store app is not opening. Kindly help.
