0x80240437 Windows 8 Store error while installing apps

This error code suddenly appears in WIndows 8 Store when trying to install or update apps....  Solutions to this have not yet been found.

There are many references to some date and time issues but they are correct on my Computer.

I did use the troubleshouter for Windows update which states that something has been corrected.

There are errors in my Event logs...

ID 36888 System Log; A fatal alert was generated and sent to the remote endpoint. This may result in termination of the connection. The TLS protocol defined fatal error code is 10. The Windows SChannel error state is 10.

this is a fairly new Installation...

    This works for me on multiple machines that run into this problem. As always backup your registry b4 editing it just in case for some reason your computer doesn't like it

    Open Regedit and change the following keys that will solve your problem.

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX] "IsConvergedUpdateStackEnabled"=dword:00000000

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX\Settings] "UxOption"=dword:00000000

    Hi,

    This did not work because Regedit said: "Impossible to modify IsConvergedUpdateStackEnabled. Error during writing the new value content."

    :-(

    Any hint?

    I found that simply disabling defender lets me install the apps that got stuck at "obtaining license"
