No! You should dump it immediately. Don't run it and don't let it do
anything.

Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registry isn't needed and is dangerous. Leave the registry alone and
don't use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
what vendors of registry cleaning software try to convince you of,
having unused registry entries doesn't really hurt you.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously
removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit
it may have.

Let me point out that neither I nor anyone else who warns against the
use of registry cleaners has ever said that they always cause
problems. If they always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

Rather, the problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the substantial risk of having a problem. And since there is no
benefit to using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
bargain.

I used it once.  It destroyed my computer's ability to function in a wireless mode.  It did nothing to speed up my computer.  It took me two days to restore my wireless system so I could use my printer without a cable.  Had to delete at least 6 programs and reinstall all of them before the thing would work properly again.  It was a complete disaster that took away two days of my life.  If it actually did something for you, consider yourself lucky and don't try it again!

I had almost the exact same conversation with a PareTo Logic salesperson!!  I have been having problems with my computer communicating with my wireless printers, couldn't access windows online help even though I was online, couldn't use windows update.  Research and various attempts to fix these issues did not work.  I had a program in my download file that had not run and when I clicked on it I got to the screen that said let Microsoft find the program to use with this file.  One that page, there was a link to Regcure Pro.

I downloaded the program, ran it, no problems.  A few days later I called the PareTo logic phone number and got the aggressive salesman in Boca Raton.  He guaranteed that their Advanced Tech Support could resolve my problems.  Guaranteed or my money back.  So I paid the $180 and gave him access to my laptop.  9 hrs later my computer was working correctly.  I don't know if RegCure Pro is good or bad but their Advanced Tech Support team appears to know what they are doing.  However, they did disable my Norton program.  I enabled it and ran a full system scan and am back in business.   I think, based on the comments on this site, that I will stop the automatic renewal of RegCure Pro and uninstall the program.  I am not sure if I want to continue with the every 5 wk maintenance checkup that they suggest as part of the Advanced Tech Support package.

Does anyone know anything about Advanced Tech Support from PareTo Logic?
