No! You should dump it immediately. Don't run it and don't let it do

Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the

registry isn't needed and is dangerous. Leave the registry alone and

don't use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and

what vendors of registry cleaning software try to convince you of,

having unused registry entries doesn't really hurt you.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously

removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit

it may have.

use of registry cleaners has ever said that they always cause

problems. If they always caused problems, they would disappear from

the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry

cleaner and never had a problem with it.

Rather, the problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it

the substantial risk of having a problem. And since there is no

benefit to using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad

bargain.

thanks for the article since i have purchased a 2 years license for 80 dollars.  I never dreamed the Windows had become a market of dubious Registry cleaners and Driver Updates. I wish Microsoft must give up all these advertising schedules with "free downlaoad" and pay later.  peter hetsch. Denmark

It's not half as bad as you claim it is, guys. Hear me out:

My brand new super expensive gaming PC (980 GTX GPU, 5820K CPU, Samsung 500GB 850 EVO SSD) was freezing up left and right sporadically for the past 4-5 months in games and out of. I tried everything in the book - checked for heat issues under stress and out of it, BIOS updates, disabling any advanced feature, virus scans, Malwarebytes, Spybot S&D, CCleaner, you name it. I was 100% sure this was a hardware issue and was just about to send this 'piece of junk' back to the store to have them check it out and repair it - I was certain that my SSD was failing at this point, or it was even as bad as a motherboard failure.

I wouldn't believe me either, but how convenient that on the exact same day that I decided to return the PC I encountered this little YouTube video that claimed something like: "Are you tired of your PC freezing up?" with this little piece of software advertised, so I downloaded the free version of this RegCure Pro app with a shrug and a "what the hell" attitude, it found some stuff in my PC, I gave it no attention, but my PC stopped freezing completely that day. A week has passed, two weeks, three weeks, and my PC stopped freezing altogether!

I'm kind of ashamed to admit it, but I then wanted to run a TV show episode on a hacked version of one of my favorite video player (BS.Player), but it wasn't installed, even though I was SURE I installed it almost immediately after installing my Win8. So I installed it again, watched the episode and forgot about it. Lo and behold: my PC started freezing up again.

Lessons about stupidity of downloading pirated software aside, Malwarebytes, Spybot S&D, Windows Defender and others - none of them detected the serious malware that my hacked BS.Player version contained, but this silly little 'snake oil' app - somehow did.

As a PC veteran (Huh! The above shows how much that's true), I'm not sure I would pay for their whole registry cleaning nonsense, either, but I believe their malware removal tool alone is enough to justify a purchase. Now, if they only wouldn't offer a limited time license and just offer a 1-time only purchase...

I used it and it resuscitated my computer.

It has Microsoft Gold Application rating as a Microsoft Partner.
