How safe is RegCure Pro?

Your choice of course, but let me point out that neither I nor anyone

I have been following this thread since I posted concerns about **** about 18 mnths ago. I happened to run a free malware scan with HitmanPro by SurfRight yesterday as a one off 'second opinion' scan. It revealed remnants of **** and Systweak still embedded in my PC. No other scan has done so. Unfortunately , as I had previously used up a trial sub I had to pay for a years sub. $16.00 to get them removed. Worth it though just to finally, I hope, see the last of ****.

If regclean pro is so bad then how come most PC Repair places use it and recommend it.  I have a windows 7 which is acting up running slow and have runtime errors with Microsoft works 8 program which before the trouble started was working great . then after a windows update blame IE stopped working and was giving that windows shutting down due to error message  but I got it fixed then not only found out that Microsoft works 8 would no longer work even after I uninstalled and reinstalled it. but now it triggers the user account control settings. and every know and again the computer freezes, IE windows shut down and restarts, fickers and something windows itself restarts, the screen flickers the start menu button goes completely white then then starts working again. I done all the disk fragmentation, disk cleanup, everything except use a pc cleaner/registry cleaner/fix software. No I don't have a backup for my 2 tb harddrive. I was told by a local computer repair place to use regclean pro. every scan for registry errors from at least 10 different registry/ pc cleaning software programs  I have gotten  exact same over 540 registry errors.  Could it simply be Microsoft wants people to buy more computers and their software and not repair it so their computers last for ages. I have a XP computer my first that I bought from office depot in 2005 a Compaq 150gig . and it still runs. it needs registry cleaned and cleaned up and its slow but it still works. but my current computer has started screwing up this January . the problem is that during the windows update it erased the restore point and created a new one. so I couldn't have went back if I wanted to.  So your telling the only safest thing to do is buy a external hard drive back up my files then do a complete systems restore the way was when it came out of the factory.  instead of any of these registry cleaners. then way is there no public announcements on tv about these things not working or being dangerous to your computer. Because that should be out there and why is not the BBB going after these companies for fraudulent advertising if their product does do as it said. hell the BBB and the FDA went after cheerios for having lowers cholesterol on the box.  so this is even worse.  Right now I am back on the fence I was gonna I am gonna go get me information from other local pc repair shops before I buy it. but I am not buying that registry doesnt need repaired and cleaned and there is not a current safe one out there that actually works.
