How safe is RegCure Pro?

I  was desperate to fix some malware problems and downloaded and used Regcure Pro for a few days to try and fix some severe problems on my PC. It seemed to work for a while, but now I am not sure, I accidently ran a scan after re-starting after a previous scan, After the re-start I got a comfort message that my PC was clean.

However after the accidental scan I was notified that I still had 15 privacy items and 28 junk files, This can be replicated any time I want. 

I feel now really stupid!  I think I have been taken by the snake oil salesmen. Boy, how dumb can a person be to waste money on this kind of garbage?

I think they are out to scam people.  They bragged how Microsoft "approves" them. Also bad on hard selling.  STAY AWAY from REGPRO ... just my experience & opinion.

Using a program like Regcure Pro is not only a waste of money, even
worse it can cause you all sorts of problems. Avoid them all like the
plague.

Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registry isn't needed and is dangerous. Leave the registry alone and
don't use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
what vendors of registry cleaning software try to convince you of,
having unused registry entries doesn't really hurt you.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously
removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit
it may have.

problems. If they always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

Rather, the problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the substantial risk of having a problem. And since there is no
benefit to using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
bargain.
