No! You should dump it immediately. Don't run it and don't let it do
anything.

Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registry isn't needed and is dangerous. Leave the registry alone and
don't use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
what vendors of registry cleaning software try to convince you of,
having unused registry entries doesn't really hurt you.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously
removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit
it may have.

Let me point out that neither I nor anyone else who warns against the
use of registry cleaners has ever said that they always cause
problems. If they always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

Rather, the problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the substantial risk of having a problem. And since there is no
benefit to using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
bargain.

Thank you for the too-late warning. I wish you could pop-up the warning like any other pop-up warning if you can't block the solicitation of Regcure. How do I get the money back I spent on this so-called free snake oil company? And what about a social media campaign to discredit Regcure and its use of Microft's name?

LIke with anything and everything. You MUST research, research, and research before you do or buy anything. We have all this information at our disposal through what is now called the "internet". You should spend some time doing research instead of just checking your email, playing games, chatting or posting pics on social media sites :)

This one is probably the worst and most dangerous of all the registry cleaners on the market. I have tried several times, mostly out of curiosity and to prove myself wrong (or right) that this software is harmful to your PC.

For one thing, it does not give you many options to undelete or delete certain found items. In many of my scans, I had over 700+ items. Some of which were legitimate orphan files, but others were in fact backups from other programs, say, iTunes for my iPhone and iPad. The app here wanted to delete them all, with no option to untick or unselect these ones alone. The developers actually promote the destruction of your OS by this product.

I found CCleaner very safe in 90% of the cases. The only time it wasn't was when I did repair install of Windows 7 and it wanted to delete my paths to the other program files.

In general, the recommendation and rules here are consistent: avoid these destructive apps like the plague.
