How safe is RegCure Pro?

             I have have just posted a reply to Nickn1944 post however I could have used the same reply to most of the posts /replies in this thread as they mostly refer to RegCure Pro,  Pareto Logic and Safecart the ecommerce company they use. Coincidentally Safecart are also based in Victoria, British Columbia Canada.

 I only purchased Pareto Logics RegCure Pro and Privacy Control last week but have been so uneasy since doing so for various reasons, not least the number of complaints and warnings on Microsoft Community but also elsewhere on the web that I cancelled the auto renewal and today asked Pareto logic for a refund citing the deluge of complaints and a couple of my own.

   In both cases I contacted the companies involved Safecart and Pareto Logic's customer support on line. In the first instance I had a bit of a problem accessing my account using the link from the email confirmation of my purchase from Safecart. I used the customer service contact email address from their website. I received confirmation of the cancellation of my auto renewal within 24 hrs. So no problem there I hope.  I contacted Pareto Logic yesterday pm via their tech/customer support email box asking for a refund citing my concerns. I received an auto reply and later in the day confirmation of a refund. I have also now received confirmation of a refund for both RegCure Pro and Privacy Controls within 10 to 15 days. I have uninstalled both programmes now.

        Having gone through a few anxious days re Regcure Pro, Pareto logic and Safecart I am relieved that I have now hopefully resolved thiis issue.However when I reflect on this whole matter I have not actually experienced any actual PC problems with RegCure Pro, I have only used it a few times, shut its scheduling and any access to my registry though. I was just totally freaked by all the complaints and warnings in this thread and elsewhere !

      The other fact is , although I do not have my refund secure in my account, Safecart and Pareto Logic Customer Support have acted promptly and professionally in processing my requests.

       I am left wondering whether rather than RegCure Pro being scareware, the real scare has come from the Microsoft Community posts and elsewhere. It has been a relief to uninstall Regcure and get my Refund confirmation but the two companies seem to have acted swiftly and ethically to my requests. There seems to be a touch of Jekyll and Hyde here. Are these companies and their products really unsafe? I still  don't really know.

Calvin - My experience with Regcure was to be ignored.  I sent emails that were never responded to.  I tried to get on their so-called "On Line Troubleshooter" and waited for 20 minutes with no response.  They screwed up my computer so bad that it took me 2 days to get it back fully functional.  I emailed them for help, and never received a response.  My opinion, based on a similar effort, is - it will be a waste of time.

I downloaded RegCure Pro last week at just after midnight from Windows Techies website. Decided to go ahead and sign up. At the time I was just totally frustrated trying to find a missing app. Needed to sleep on it really. Following a successful activation, avoided the calling option (First warning sign ?) I received a confirmation email fro Pareto Logic. The email carried an Outlook warning to be careful as sender 'Failed fraud checks'. Warning No 2. After this I did a bit of research and came across all the wanings about RegCure Pro and Registry cleaners in general. (I  use iolo System Mechanic which seems OK). By this time it was late and I was worried. So concerned I decided after using it a couple of times to cancel the auto renewal with Safecart, the ecommerce firm that is used and to ask Pareto logic for are a refund explaining my concerns. In both cases I carried out these requests online. Safecart cancelled my auto renewal within 48hrs and have just notified me that I am being refunded for RegCure Pro and Privacy Controls. I have uninstalled the two programmes.

           This company, Pareto logic, and product, RegCure seem to have a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde character. So far I have not really had any problems dealing with them or Safecart. Are they being unfairly maligned ?

have also fallen foul of the dreaded Regcure Pro in the last few days, and am now trying to get a refund via the web page link given above, but it keeps on just coming up with bogus 'information incorrect' errors which is garbage!!!!

anyone have a UK number to call to claim a refund under the distance selling and their 30 day money back service??

(note not the 0800 number they advertise because the only number they could give was a US based one!!

I posted the link you are refering to, but I guess it must have been specific to my account. I contacted them initially through this link :  ******@paretologic.com , they replied and gave me a link to the refund form and eventually I got a full refund.
