No! You should dump it immediately. Don't run it and don't let it do
anything.

Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registry isn't needed and is dangerous. Leave the registry alone and
don't use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
what vendors of registry cleaning software try to convince you of,
having unused registry entries doesn't really hurt you.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously
removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit
it may have.

Let me point out that neither I nor anyone else who warns against the
use of registry cleaners has ever said that they always cause
problems. If they always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

Rather, the problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the substantial risk of having a problem. And since there is no
benefit to using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
bargain.

    A very cleverly crafted site to look like a genuine Microsoft site complete with the new Windows 8 style logos.

    However note the malformed Web address. They have taken the word "Microsoft" and added "rt" on the end which means it is not a genuine site.

    Then the English used is fairly poor, Microsoft do not ever have a Security Update for a Security Update. If there is a problem with an update it is withdrawn and a ne one issued.

    If anything demonstrates the dubious nature of the program it is this link. Use of subterfuge in order to distribute software only shows how you need to be careful with what you read.

    I wish I had the read Ken's advice on RegCure Pro before I purchased it.  But, thankfully, after alot of emails with them where they tried their darndest not to give me a refund, they acquiesced & I received a full refund.

    In my continuing endeavor to find a solution to my driver issue, I found software that claimed to resolve my particular issue, then checked multiple reviews on the software called 'ReImage Plus Pro'.  There are many reviews that call this an outstanding product, so (like an idiot), I bought the software.  I was also encouraged by their "money back guarantee.. no questions asked" policy.

    My red flags immediately went up after I paid; it took me to an activation page that looked just like the one for RegCure, and when I called the number, I was connected to a live person at the very same call center in Boca Raton, FL, who asked me the very same questions as the first guy did (as if reading from a script).  I asked the 2nd guy if ReImage Plus was a product of the same company as RegCure Pro, and he flatly denied it.

    I declined, again, paying $250 for one of their techs to "remotely try to fix" my computer and the software, repeatedly, failed to work, even in Safe Mode.  It also disabled my Windows Update & Microsoft Security Essentials.  I deleted the software (and the 100's of temp files it loaded on my computer) & demanded an immediate refund.

    I was appalled when one of their "Tier 2" responded to my refund request, that per their refund policy, I would have to permit one of their techs access to my computer to try to fix the problems. I declined & gave them 15 days to refund my money or I will pursue legal options.
