Installed this today, it caused my Poppeeper to be flagged with a -1000 error. Rolled computer back and problem cured. Have hidden update until i know what to do.

YMMV but...

...Microsoft is aware of an issue some customers are experiencing when installing KB2670838 on certain laptop systems with hybrid graphics. We are looking into the situation and are considering blocking the update for systems that could be affected. Customers who are experiencing issues on systems that already have installed the update should consider uninstalling KB2670838.

In the near future (one assumes), Microsoft should begin offering home users (only!) no-charge support for IE10 install and uninstall issues. You also may be eligible for the support if an IE10-related issue causes your computer to crash or if IE10 does
 not let you browse all sites. For now, however, you're on your own so you're best bet is to hide IE10 (*and KB2670838 IMHO*) & stick with IE9 for the time being.

    I tried to install the update automatically but the system rolls back after restart. I then tried through the windows update page, searching for new updates and installing, but same thing. I have also tried a manual update from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36805 and same again. 

    Update now hidden until MS can pull their finger out.

    Installing it manually with the offline installer did not help. Same problems (Aero gone) as after installing it via windowsupdate.

    Simular problem with my desktop (win7pro): ie9 tries to open, acts like it's had too much java (browser jitters) then ultimately fails to open. Rolled back update on 27th, problem goes away. 28th offending kb reinstalled (automatically overnight), same problems insued, rolled back again, problem gone.

    My lap top (with win7 ultimate) had simular ie9 stability problems starting in Nov. Did not realize it maybe related till I started researching this problem.

    Big problem for me to with this specific update , Windows Media Player stoped working, some games and programs where slow Etc... i had to uninstall and hide the update!!!...
