Installed this today, it caused my Poppeeper to be flagged with a -1000 error. Rolled computer back and problem cured. Have hidden update until i know what to do.

YMMV but...

...Microsoft is aware of an issue some customers are experiencing when installing KB2670838 on certain laptop systems with hybrid graphics. We are looking into the situation and are considering blocking the update for systems that could be affected. Customers who are experiencing issues on systems that already have installed the update should consider uninstalling KB2670838.

In the near future (one assumes), Microsoft should begin offering home users (only!) no-charge support for IE10 install and uninstall issues. You also may be eligible for the support if an IE10-related issue causes your computer to crash or if IE10 does
 not let you browse all sites. For now, however, you're on your own so you're best bet is to hide IE10 (*and KB2670838 IMHO*) & stick with IE9 for the time being.

    IE10 (and all other currently supported IE versions) was last "updated" on 13 August 2013 with the release of MS13-059 - Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer (KB2862772).

    Chances are the next Cumulative Security Update for IE will be released on 10 September 2013.
