Installed this today, it caused my Poppeeper to be flagged with a -1000 error. Rolled computer back and problem cured. Have hidden update until i know what to do.

...Microsoft is aware of an issue some customers are experiencing when installing KB2670838 on certain laptop systems with hybrid graphics. We are looking into the situation and are considering blocking the update for systems that could be affected. Customers who are experiencing issues on systems that already have installed the update should consider uninstalling KB2670838.

In the near future (one assumes), Microsoft should begin offering home users (only!) no-charge support for IE10 install and uninstall issues. You also may be eligible for the support if an IE10-related issue causes your computer to crash or if IE10 does
 not let you browse all sites. For now, however, you're on your own so you're best bet is to hide IE10 (*and KB2670838 IMHO*) & stick with IE9 for the time being.

    Update KB2670838, offered on 3/3/13, got me too. WLM went black on left side and top and would have to be opened twice to get it to work at all. Thanks to this community, I uninstalled the update and all is well. Machine is running windows 7 home premium.

    Several months ago, with out this up date I had some of the problems described here. IE9 would hang and not load a chain of links. One link at a time was ok, but going from one link to another would hang and become useless.

    I had to give up and use Firefox. Any one have any ideas?

    I had to uninstall this update, too.

    It broke the Terratec HomeCinema.

    This software works with a DVB-T usb stick by Terratec (mine is Cinergy T USB XE), and allows my notebook to work like a TV: see a transmissions and register it as an MPG file, in case.

    The registration worked, but I could not see the transmission.

    After uninstalling KB2670838, everything was as before.

    Note: My notebook is a Lenovo G580 with CoreI7 cpu, Win7 Home Premium. It has two graphics chipsets, one from Intel (HD Graphics 4000) and one from NVidia (GeForce 610M), and it switches between the two as appropriate.

    I have problem also with the KB2670838 with a Dell laptop and rolled back without the update...

    I have the exact opposite problem. I uninstalled it. Now Aero won't work. Now I don't know what to do to get Aero back. This is very frustrating. I go to personalized settings to change the theme and it won't change now. Can someone help me get it back to Aero?
